I have been meat free for almost 10 years and own 2 tea shops that serve 100% vegan fare, so it has been wonderful to have made the commitment to go 100% vegan!

Two of my children work with me, Alex(ander), in Mankato, and Kyra, in Winona, and are also part of this journey as they chose to go meat free with me. 

I grew up in Mankato in Southern Minnesota where I now live again.

My claim to fame is that I have taught every grade Kindergarten through college and now teach about tea. My teaching career started in one room schools in Western South Dakota, teaching multi-grades in the smallest district in the state and then I taught multi-grades at a Hutterite Colony near Huron South Dakota. I ventured back to Minnesota and worked as a Technology Coordinator for a small school district and then taught Computer Careers at a Community and Technical College. 
While there, I got the bug to be entrepreneurial and as I was passionate that I had found tea I wanted to share my new love with others and so created Curiosi-Tea House. 

I have two other children, Kent and Christian, six grandchildren (who all drink tea btw) and two large older dogs, a full brindled Pitbull and a Husky/Lab/Springer mix, both rescue dogs. My fiancé Joel works with me and has been sharing meals, advocating and reading labels along with me in this journey.
