Happy March! With all this snow, I expect that I'm not the only one looking towards Spring and to the end of this big snow season we've had this year. So let's look forward! Mark your calendars for Saturday & Sunday, May 6th and 7th and attend a lovely gathering with folks who care about Animals, the Environment & Humans!

My hope for this event is for like-minded people to have a space to connect with other like-minded people. However one of my personal goals for this event is to help connect all people who are interested in talking with others to have a place where they can find out more about specific things - changing up their diet, changing their environmental footprint and helping others in a non-judgmental, informational and enjoyable space. The idea of this festival, is to share an enjoyable time with others with the common theme - kindness and compassion.

Connecting - For anyone starting down a different path, being able to connect with others, find resources, and ask questions is so important. I have been frustrated personally in my attempt to find and connect with others, specifically those in the vegan community in our meat and dairy focused part of the country. That frustration and my passion to do something good and different, aligned with the key components of both health and compassion, is why I am determined to get things going here in Southern Minnesota.

A fun festival seemed like a great way to start connecting folks. I want this to be as inclusive and open as possible, so anyone who has a passion about animals, the environment or humans are encouraged to be a part or attend. I think that a non-judgmental space, information and conversation are how change and learning occurs.
